Optal, a world leader in optimising B2B transactions, is celebrating again after being named as one of the UK’s 50 fastest-growing technology companies for the second year in a row.
The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 list has for the past two decades recognised the achievements of the country’s best performing tech firms, ranking them according to revenue growth over the previous four years.
Optal ranked in 17th place this year, following last year’s listing in this prestigious award, as the firm continues ambitious expansion plans driven by growth of over 1,800%.
“We’re delighted to have been placed in the upper echelons of the UK’s technology industry yet again by a programme which has been celebrating innovation and success for 20 years,” said Andrew Downes, General Manager, Optal. “Our sharp growth over the past four years proves the message is getting through: B2B payments are long overdue an upgrade, and we have the tools to help businesses do exactly that, stripping out cost, improving security and optimising processes.”
Optal offers solutions to streamline reconciliations, optimise B2B transactions, protect working capital and even turn cost centres into revenue streams while protecting businesses from payment risk and fraud.
These include a flagship Virtual Account Number (VAN) payment solution which automatically generates 16-digit, single-use, card numbers to facilitate fast, simple and secure supplier payments.
Our Invapay business offers customers an innovative way to pay suppliers who don’t accept card payments, helping them maximise working capital management.
Optal’s success extends regionally as well as nationwide: the company was also awarded a place in the top fifth of the prestigious Deloitte Technology Fast 500 rankings as one of EMEA’s fastest-growing tech firms.
These awards follow similar recognition on the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250, Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 list, and the inaugural FT1000 list of Europe’s 1,000 fastest-growing companies. We were also named by the London Stock Exchange Group as one of the 1,000 most inspirational companies in Britain.
